Tập đoàn này thuộc chính phủ Hàn Quốc , nó có 5 cty con sau:
- KOSEP (Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.), as of December 2011, is operating and maintaining power generation facilities with a total capacity of 8,396,000kW, equivalent to 10.6% of the nation’s 79.2 million kW facilities’ capacity. KOSEP is composed of six power plants. The management philosophy of KOSEP shall be encapsulated in the letters MSRC (Maximization of Stockholder Value, Satisfaction of Customer, Respect for Employee and Contribution to Society). Its aim is to achieve security and durable growth through adaptability.
- KOMIPO (Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd.) as of January 2011 is generating 8,397.6MW in Korea. It is actively developing new overseas markets through its excellence in operational know-how for power plants. Its operations in Indonesia, for instance, include a total of 1,980MW worth of equipment supplied to the Cirebon and Tanjung Jati areas. Once these power plants enter full-scale operation in 2012 they will supply 15,610GWh of electricity to Indonesia, which is 9% of all power generated in the Java Island.
- KOWEPO (Korea Western Power Co., Ltd.) consists of 4 power plant complex nationwide in Korea. - KOSPO (Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd.), as of April, 2012, is operating and maintaining power generation facilities with a total capacity of 9,199,000kW, equivalent to 11.6% of the nation’s 78,809 MW facilities’ capacity. KOSPO takes opportunities in the market by competitive preference of production, sales and technology. The goal is to be a blue chip company that leads market standards with efficiency, responsibility, profitability and competitive corporate culture.
- EWP (Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd.), is operating and maintaining power generation facilities with a total capacity of 8,817.4MW. EWP has its mind set on overcoming market saturation of domestic power industry and becoming a global top 10 energy company by 2020 based on accumulated experience and world class competency. To achieve this vision, EWP has opened a new department specializing in overseas projects and new & renewable energy businesses.
- Mỗi công ty con có sứ mạng cung cấp điện năng theo chỉ tiêu được giao.
Nhiên liệu để chạy các nhà máy nhiệt điện này là các loại than, khí lỏng, và Biomass (trong đó có Wood pellets). Hàng tháng các nhà máy điện này tổ chức đấu thầu cung cấp nhiên liệu, tháng thì “steaming coal” tháng thì “butiminous coal” và tất nhiên cả “wood pellet” . Chắc một vài bạn kinh doanh và sản xuất viên nén gỗ chưa thấy trong tài liệu mà ad đang có hầu như việc đấu thầu W.P không hề gián đoạn. Chỉ có điều là trong luật đấu thầu không cho phép nhà cung cấp (người bỏ thầu) được phép lấy hàng ở 2 quốc gia khác nhau trong cùng một gói thầu. Vì vậy, trong 3 tháng qua có nguồn tin xầm xì khi thì cuối tháng 9 HQ tổ chức thầu lại, khi thì đoán là cuối tháng 10, thực chất họ vẫn tiến hành đấu thầu đều đều, nhưng một số nhà cung cấp rời bỏ VN chạy qua Thailan, Malaysia, China thậm chí Canada, chấp nhận mua giá cao để an toàn hơn về chất lượng. Vì khi ad đọc chi tiết luật đấu thầu thấy Nhà máy điện đã siết chặt hơn các quy định tham gia đấu thầu nhất là quy định thưởng phạt khiến cho những nhà cung cấp còn mua ở VN phải đè giá xuống để nếu bị phạt thì còn có khoảng cách để chung tiền phạt cho Nhà Máy Điện.
Ví dụ: khi hàng qua đến HQ, nhà máy điện vẫn sẽ đưa vào tiêu thụ, nhưng sẽ lấy mẫu đi test. Các chỉ tiêu được chiếu cố nhất sẽ được test lại tại HQ như: Net Calorific Value (NCV), Clor, Sulfur, Nitrogen và có định mức phạt rõ ràng cho từng chỉ tiêu vượt ngưỡng quy định. - Ngoài ra, trong bản “form” đấu thầu cũng cho thấy chỉ tiêu của nhà máy điện thật sự có cái không cao như mấy tay HQ “hù” NSX VN. Chúng ta cần nắm vững các chi tiết này để làm việc sòng phẳng với đối tác.
